Bahrain: Asian Man Jailed For Role In Violent Home Invasion
The First High Criminal Court has sentenced an Asian defendant to five years’ imprisonment for his role in a violent home invasion.
The court’s verdict also mandates the defendant’s permanent deportation post-incarceration.
The incident unfolded as four individuals were ambushed in their shared flat by the primary suspect and an assembly of individuals, also of Asian origin. The assailants forcefully breached the residence, demolishing the entrance and arming themselves with wooden planks and blades.
The aggressors launched a brutal attack, beating the occupants and rendering them defenceless. In the aftermath, they rifled through the victims’ possessions, stealing personal items including a wallet with BD200.
During the police investigation, the victims were shown pictures of the accused and were able to identify the first suspect as one of the perpetrators. The forensic report also confirmed that the first victim suffered various injuries as a result of the assault.
