Bahrain: Earthquake Donations by the St Chris Community

Once again, members of the St Chris community came together following an appeal from the PTO for more volunteers on Saturday to help pack up all the generous donations for those affected by the recent earthquakes. They thank everyone who donated to support the cause.

“It is at times like this that we prove that our community truly embodies our School’s Mission of ‘Education for a Shared Humanity”

Businesses around Bahrain also joined in the School’s effort by donating boxes and offering free transport of the goods to the collection points. They extended their gratitude to Ahmadi Packing, GAC, Box Makers, IKEA and Alwardi Transport for their help as part of the effort.

The first truckloads of donations were delivered to the Turkish Embassy and KAAF (for Syria) earlier this week.

The School has extended the deadline and will still be accepting donations until Wednesday, 15 February at both campuses. They are appealing for more volunteers to help this Thursday to prepare the final donations for delivery. Please follow @stchrispto for more details about volunteer timings for Thursday.
