Bahrain: Expat woman killed in road accident

A 43-year-old expatriate woman, mother of three, was killed on the spot in a car accident yesterday early morning on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Highway heading towards Hamad Town.

The woman who was driving a Toyota Yaris, for some reason got out of her car and was hit by a speeding Toyota R-4 driven by an Arab man. “She was killed on the spot,” said an onlooker.

The Ministry of Interior also confirmed the incident on social media stating, “Death of a woman, 43, in a traffic accident on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway towards Hamad Town near Al Qadam area. Necessary steps are being taken.“

The woman has been identified as Camille Jones Parsons, a Canadian who formerly worked for ‘Gulf Weekly’ in Bahrain.
