Bahrain: Man killed during motorcycle event; Track Activities Stopped

 A 57-year old man lost his life after he sustained injuries during an open track motorcycle event at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) yesterday.

“At approximately 18:45hrs on a Friday evening, a 57-year-old male was involved in a serious motorcycle accident during an open track event held at the BIC,” a BIC representative said.

“First aid was given by the staff at the scene, before being transported by emergency stand-by ambulance to the BDF hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 21:38 hrs,” he said, adding “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this most difficult time.”

As a mark of respect, no track activities took place for the day.
