UAE National Day 2023: Sharjah Plans 10-Day Celebration

Sharjah is planning to mark UAE National Day 2023 with 10 days of celebrations in the Emirate.

The Sharjah Executive Council is reviewing a proposal, which will see celebrations last for 10 days and include entertainment and cultural shows as well as a public holiday for workers in the Emirate.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired a meeting of the Executive Council, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.

According to a report carried by state-run news agency WAM, the meeting reviewed Sharjah’s proposals for the 52nd UAE National Day.

Plans include national marches, heritage, singing, folklore, aerial, and entertainment shows, in addition to various activities, workshops, and competitions that enhance the values ​​of belonging and union and work to complete the nation’s civilisational journey.

UAE National Day is celebrated on December 2 every year.

The national holiday marks the unification of the seven emirates in 1971 and is a day of celebration across the country.
