Bahrain: Ministry Recommends Speeding up Street-Paving Process

The Ministry of Works stated that it recommended the necessity of repaving the site as soon as possible. This came in response to a story published about severe traffic jams caused by the closure of streets behind a commercial complex in the Exhibition Avenue and stifling crisis for visitors.

In its response, the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning clarified that the existing works were affiliated with a service agency and not the ministry. It assured that it was following up the works for that authority through the Ministry’s Roads Damage Follow-up Unit.
