Cristiano Ronaldo Named Saudi Pro League Player of the Month
Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al Nassr, has won the award for the best player for August in the Saudi Pro League at the start of the 2023-2024 season.
Meanwhile, Nuno Santo, Al Ittihad’s head coach, was awarded coach of the month, and the award for the best goalkeeper in August went to Marcelo Grohe, the Brazilian goalkeeper of the club.
Al Taawoun player Abdulmalik Al Oyayari won the award for the most promising player of the month.
Ronaldo wins Saudi Pro League award
The league’s technical committee made the announcements, revealing the four winners of the league’s prestigious awards.
This season, the committee has introduced a new criterion for selecting the monthly award winners, as it involved public voting that accounted for a portion of the final decision.
The league’s technical committee comprises five members: Turki Al-Sultan, Sultan Al-Luhayyani, Khalid Al-Shenaif, Manaf Aboshgair, and Obaid Alessi.
