Dubai Government Announces New Year Holiday
Dubai has announced a holiday for New Year’s Day, 2024.
Dubai Government Human Resources Department declared Monday, January 1 as an official holiday for government entities on New Year.
Official work will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

The circular issued by the department excluded bodies, departments, and institutions that have employees working in shifts or whose jobs are related to serving the public or managing public service facilities.
Each entity will determine the working hours for these categories as per their operational requirements.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department congratulated the UAE’s leadership and people on this occasion.
It comes after the UAE announced a public holiday for public and private sector workers in the country.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that Monday, January 1, 2024, will be an official paid holiday for workers in the private sector.
The decision aligns with the Cabinet Resolution regarding approved public holidays for the government and private sectors in 2024.
Earlier, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources declared Monday, January 1 as the New Year holiday for federal government entities.
