The Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest horserace, is set to return to the dazzling Meydan Racecourse on March 30th, 2024.

This annual event is the crown jewel of Dubai’s sporting and social calendar, offering a global stage where the finest horses and connections from around the world converge to compete for a share of the staggering $30.5 million prize purse.

What is the Dubai World Cup?

Established in 1996 through the visionary leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai World Cup is a prestigious thoroughbred horse race that has captured the imagination of racing enthusiasts worldwide.

This event is the pinnacle of the UAE racing season, featuring six Group 1 and three Group 2 fixtures.

Getting there

The Meydan Racecourse is located in the heart of Dubai, within the elite horseracing district of Nad Al Sheba. Situated on Meydan Road (D69), the venue is easily accessible via major roads and expressways. Driving or taking a taxi service is the most convenient way to reach the racecourse.

Securing your place at the grandstand

Tickets for the Dubai World Cup can be purchased through the official Dubai Racing Club website or in person at the sales office, which is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on race days from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

General Admission

General Public – Regular AED20.00
This ticket grants access to the outdoor grandstand seating and the interior food court on the Mezzanine Floor.

Free parking is available in the remote car park, with a paid option for grandstand parking.

Apron Views by McGettigan’s – AED295

Apron Views is the Dubai Racing Club’s social village with food and beverage options in an outdoor setting. Each ticket includes participation in the prediction game and entry into the Lucky Draw to win cash prizes.

Named after the 2012 Dubai World Cup winner, the Monterosso restaurant offers a track-facing balcony and an outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the city.

Named after the 2018 and 2019 Dubai World Cup winner, Thunder Snow restaurant is a distinct choice to admire the home turn and the skyline of Dubai.

Dress Code

The Dubai World Cup is a prestigious event, and attendees are expected to adhere to a smart dress code. Ladies and gentlemen, including children aged 12 and above, must wear smart attire or national dress. Dresses and skirts should be of modest length, falling just above the knee or longer.

Prohibited clothing items include shorts, jeans, sportswear, torn or ripped clothing, open-neck t-shirts, tank tops, trainers (sneakers or sports shoes), and flip-flops. Children under 12 must be neatly dressed and accompanied by an adult.
