Federation of Indian airlines (FIA) says no to additional flights by UAE carriers

The Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) has opposed a plan by the civil aviation ministry to allow Dubai-based carriers to launch 21 flights a week from three airports in Kerala for a month beginning August 10 to clear the festive-season rush.

The government plan under discussion seeks to introduce flights over and above the bilateral entitlements agreed upon between India and Dubai. The FIA, opposing the proposal, has written to the aviation ministry on July 20, 2017.

At present, the aviation ministry is not clearing any increase in bilateral entitlements on India-Dubai sector.
