Leaked Samsung S24 Spec Sheet Offers Complete Picture of the Upcoming Lineup

If rumours are to be believed, we’re less than a month away from the launch of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 range. Over on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, leaker Evan Blass has shared what appears to be an early look at a countdown to the next Galaxy Unpacked that says “Galaxy AI is coming” on January 18th at 3 AM KST. That translates to 1 PM ET on January 17th, in line with a previously reported date for the launch. Blass also shared a leaked spec sheet for the three devices which confirms many of their previously rumored features.

According to the spec sheet, Samsung is once again planning to offer three models as part of the range. There’s the standard Galaxy S24, with a 6.2-inch screen, the S24 Plus which goes up to 6.7 inches, and the S24 Ultra which has a screen 6.8 inches in size. The spec sheet lists all three as being powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, although rumours suggest that outside the US, Canada, and China, the phones will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2400.

For cameras, the S24 Ultra looks to have a 200-megapixel main sensor (same as the S23 Ultra), while the S24 and S24 Plus top out at 50 megapixels. The S24 Ultra’s telephoto lens will offer a zoom of up to 10x, while the other two models can go up to 3x. Other rumoured camera specs include 10-megapixel telephoto sensors on the S24 and S24 Plus, and a pair of telephoto lenses on the Ultra — one 50-megapixel with a 5x optical zoom (which can reportedly be cropped to offer 10x zoom) and one 10-megapixel with 3x optical zoom. All three phones are rumoured to have 12-megapixel ultrawides and 12-megapixel selfie cameras.

In terms of batteries, according to the leaked spec sheet the S24 has a 4,000mAh capacity, the S24 Plus 4,900mAh, and the Ultra 5,000mAh. There’s IP68 water and dust resistance across the range, and the spec sheet confirms that the S24 Ultra will use titanium in its construction, versus aluminium in the S24 and S24 Plus.

If you want a complete look at what the phones look like in many colours and from all angles, images posted by Arsène Lupin on X have you covered. The three phones have a very similar look to their 2023 predecessors, although the S24 Ultra reportedly has a completely flat screen this time around according to earlier leaks, ditching the slight curves seen on the S23 Ultra. Available colours include black, grey, purple, and yellow, though there may be additional colours available via Samsung’s own store.

Overall it looks like it could be an iterative year for Samsung’s flagship lineup from a hardware perspective. But from a software perspective, things could be a lot more interesting, if the “Galaxy AI is coming” tease in Blass’s countdown timer is anything to go by. Last month, the Korea Times reported that Samsung’s generative AI model, dubbed “Gauss,” could be integrated into the upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup and run natively on devices to generate and edit images, compose emails, summarize documents, and help with coding. Samsung has also spoken about using AI to translate phone calls in real-time. The features could offer Samsung an interesting edge as it attempts to compete with Google’s latest AI-infused Pixel.
