Oman: 74 expats arrested from one house during inspection

A total of 74 expat workers were arrested by the Ministry of Manpower recently.

The arrests that took place in the governorate of Muscat, were part of an inspection campaign carried out by the Ministry.

In a statement online the Ministry said, “The Ministry of Manpower (MOM), represented by the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, controls 74 workers, including workers leaving their work, infiltrators, and free visa workers. [The arrests] were part of an inspection campaign carried out by the Ministry on one of the rented houses in Muscat Governorate.”
