If you’re planning a Haj trip and don’t have money to burn, the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah has you covered. The Ministry estimates that 239,000 domestic pilgrims will perform Haj this year. According to Saad Al-Qurashi, the chairman of the local Haj committee, the highest price for one person to perform the haj is SR 14,000 ($3733), and the lowest is SR 3,500 ($933).
The basic package that can be availed at a fixed price offers pilgrims accommodation in buildings at the Mina area that are approved by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah. The package also offers train services to various pilgrim sites.
The second package, ranging from SR 3447 ($919) to SR 4797 ($1279), offers pilgrims accommodation in the Mina camps and includes transportation on train and cars. The third service, which is the most expensive, ranges from SR 6508 ($1,735) to SR 11,905 ($3,174) and includes, among other services, more food options as well as air transport for pilgrims.
