Saudi: Stage set for women to attend matches in three stadiums

KSA – Three major stadiums have made all the requirements arrangements for families to attend football matches early 2018.

The General Sports Authority (GSA) has designated King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, King Abdulla Stadium in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Fahd in Dammam.

The step is in line with the drive led by Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to modernise Saudi society and boost the economy as part of the 2030 Vision.

Families will be able to attend, for the first time, the match opposing Al-Ahly and Al-Baten on the 12th of January at the King Abdulla Stadium in Jeddah.

The doors will also be opened for families to attend Al-Hilal versus Al-Ittihad on January 13, in addition to the match, which will oppose Al-Ittifaq and Al-Faisali on January 18.

GSA Undersecretary for Technical and Investment Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Qadhib said the first stage would be first assessed before including all stadiums in the country.
