Saudi: Woman Among 5 Arrested for Smuggling 3.6M Narcotic Pills
Five foreigners, including a Moroccan woman, were arrested for their involvement in the smuggling of a huge cache of narcotic pills in Riyadh.
Maj. Muhammad Al-Nujaidi, spokesman of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), announced the seizure of 3.6 million amphetamine tablets hidden in a shipment of potatoes. He said the arrested expatriates included two Jordanians, a Moroccan woman, and two others — a Syrian and an Egyptian who arrived in the Kingdom on a visit visa.
Al-Nujaidi said they were arrested while receiving the consignment of drugs in Riyadh. The criminals were referred to Public Prosecution after taking preliminary legal measures against them.
