UK Announces Major Visa Change for Gulf and Jordanian Visitors

The UK Government has announced a major change to visit visa requirements for GCC nationals.

The Government will remove visit visa requirements for citizens from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and also Jordan. Instead, they will be offered an Electronic Travel Authorisation lasting two years for just $12. It means Gulf travellers and Jordanians will have entry requirements in line with citizens of the US and Australia.

The announcement said nationals from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Jordan will soon only be required to pay £10 to apply for an ETA, which will allow them to visit the UK multiple times over a two-year period.

This is compared to Gulf nationals currently paying £30 per visit to the UK under the current Electronic Visa Wavier (EVW) scheme and Jordanian nationals £100 for a visit visa.
