The Volkswagen Group inaugurated its new regional headquarters at Msheireb Downtown in Doha, Qatar.
The inauguration marks a new business entity set up with the establishment of Volkswagen Group Middle-East QFZ LLC (VWGME). The new headquarters will be responsible for core business functions for the company in the region, including strategy, finance, human resources, information technology, procurement and legal operations. It will lead and support the VW Group activities in all markets where the VW Group brands are active in the Middle-East.
Benoit Tiers was appointed as the Regional Chief Executive Officer for Volkswagen Group Middle East following his position in Germany as Director for West Europe at AUDI AG.
