Women to be exempted from some traffic penalties in Saudi Arabia?

Women drivers might be exempted from being questioned by stopping their cars. After allowing women to drive in September 2017, following a royal decree issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia is looking at exempting women from some traffic violation penalties.

Al Arabiya reported that some of the penalties are not suitable for women. Some of the exemptions would include stopping the vehicle to question the driver of a vehicle or detaining the vehicle, the story further states.
