Around 20% of Kuwait’s population received COVID-19 vaccine

Around 822,000 Kuwaiti citizens and foreign residents have received the vaccine against COVID-19 as the country has sped up an inoculation campaign to limit the spread of the highly contagious ailment, Kuwaiti media reported.

The figure accounts for 20 per cent of the Gulf country’s population, they added without providing a breakdrown. Kuwait aims to vaccinate 2 million people by the end of the current Muslim month of Ramadan.

Kuwait has recently launched mobile vaccination units targeting workers in mosques and in different commercial activities having direct contacts with the general public.
