Bahrain: LMRA conducts inspection campaign in Southern Governorate

Bahrain’s Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted an inspection campaign on expatriate employees gathering places and a number of shops in the Southern Governorate, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Directorate and the Southern Governorate.

The joint inspection campaigns are aimed at stabilizing the local market and identifying any violations or illegal procedures that may affect the fairness, flexibility, and competitiveness of the labour market.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of several violators who were found in breach of the LMRA provisions and the Residence Law in Bahrain.
