3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts North Kuwait

A 3.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Friday night in the northern region of Rawdatain, reports Kuwaiti National Seismic Network.

The epicenter of the quake was three kilometers underground, said Abdullah Al-Enzi, supervisor of the national seismological network, an affiliate of Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).

Residents in the northern area of Abdali near the Iraqi border felt the quake. It was followed by aftershocks measuring between 1.2 to 2.2 on the Richter scale, he added. There were no reports of casualties or damage resulting from the tremors.
