Abu Dhabi: Fines given to those who skip PCR test on 6th Day

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for the Covid-19 pandemic has started implementing regulations punishing those who fail to take a mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on day 6 of entering Abu Dhabi.

Those falling to take the PCR test on day six will be liable to fines and legal proceedings.

The punishments are to ensure adherence to precautionary measures aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

In a tweet on Saturday, the Abu Dhabi media office pointed out that either a negative PCR or DPI test result from the previous 48 hours is required at entry point, besides a mandatory PCR test on the sixth consecutive day of stay in the emirate.
