Massive Smuggled Liquor Haul Uncovered in Kuwait

Officers from Kuwait Customs have seized more than 2,000 litres of imported alcohol at the Shuwaikh Port in cooperation with the customs authorities.  A security source said after information was received by the Interior Ministry that a shipment of cast iron would arrive at the Shuwaikh port with cartons of imported alcohol neatly hidden in the shipment.

CID officers, in coordination with Shuwaikh Port customs personnel, seized the suspicious shipment and found it hidden inside imported alcohol. The source added that preliminary information indicates that the shipment came from one of the Gulf countries. The contraband has been confiscated and referred to the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control.
