Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of “Spicy Tamil Nadu Restaurant LLC” on Hamdan Street, citing violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food regulations in the emirate and associated legislation, as well as posing a risk to public health.
The authority said in a statement that a food inspection report found repeated high-risk violations directly affecting food safety.

The restaurant failed to implement effective corrective measures, which led ADAFSA to issue four violations and a closure warning before suspending its operations after insects were detected on the premises.
ADAFSA confirmed that the closure will remain in effect until the violations are rectified and the establishment meets all necessary requirements to resume operations.
The authority emphasized that the legal action is part of ongoing inspection efforts to uphold food safety standards in Abu Dhabi and ensure compliance across all food establishments. It reiterated that all businesses, regardless of their nature or products, are subject to routine inspections to verify adherence to food safety regulations.
