Saudi authorities foil liquor smuggling attempts

Saudi has managed to thwart three attempts to smuggle a total of 66,312 bottles of liquor into the Kingdom at Jeddah Islamic Port and Al-Batha Port.

In a statement, the ZTCA disclosed that the bottles were hidden in consignments of orange juice, bottled drinking water and machine filters.

Eight people were arrested and legal procedures were underway.
