The first Anantara Concorso Roma will now take place from 16-19 April 2026. Originally planned for 2025, the event was postponed in light of the Pope’s passing. It has been redesigned to offer a better experience than what was planned before.

This spectacular celebration of Italian cars and the good life will turn Rome into a showcase of automotive beauty and Italian style. The event features an expanded display area, more venues and an exclusive programme celebrating the best of Italian design, lifestyle and hospitality.

Anantara Hotels & Resorts is organising the event, with Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome as the official host hotel. UBS is the presenting partner, alongside Richard Mille and Lockton. After the postponement of this year’s event following the passing of the Pope, the team has created something bigger and more impressive.

Many of the car owners who planned to attend in 2025 have already confirmed they’ll be there, bringing cars including:

  • 1902 FIAT type 12/16hp
  • 1938 Lancia Astura 4 Serie Tipo 41 Cabriolet
  • 1951 Cisitalia 202 SC Gran Sport Cabriolet
  • 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Zagato
  • 1963 Ferrari 275P

The event centres around Piazza della Repubblica in the heart of Rome. The Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel sits in a 19th-century marble palace built over the ruins of the famous Diocletian Thermal Baths from AD 298, overlooking the Fountain of the Naiads. Its semi-circular design looks like an amphitheatre, and together with its magnificent neoclassical entrance, it creates a stunning backdrop for the show.

An Even Better Event

With support from the Roma Capitale government agency, the rescheduled event will have a larger display area. It will extend beyond the original Casina Valadier location to include the beautiful circular Piazza Bucarest in the Villa Borghese gardens, creating an even more impressive setting.

Another highlight will be the Grand Palazzo dinner at the stunning Palazzo Brancaccio near Santa Maria Maggiore. This noble Roman residence, with its grand architecture, frescoed interiors and luxurious furnishings, will host a black-tie evening that promises to be one of the weekend’s highlights.

What’s Happening When

The event kicks off on Wednesday, 15 April, with private city tours and luxury shopping for early arrivals. All car owners and guests are invited to a welcome reception on the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi rooftop on the evening of Thursday, 16 April.

On Friday, 17 April, the Giro d’Anantara grand tour will leave from Piazza della Repubblica, winding through the city and creating a spectacular sight for onlookers. The day ends with dinner at Guglielmo’s pop-up trattoria at Casina Valadier in Villa Borghese.

Saturday, 18 April, is judging day. Participants will gather at Casina Valadier and Piazza Bucarest for a Champagne reception, lunch in the Owners’ Marquee and VIP sightseeing, before the black-tie dinner at Palazzo Brancaccio.

Sunday, 19 April features the closing display, followed by the awards presentation for class and special awards, finishing with the announcement of Best of Show.
