Saudi Arabia to localise jobs in education sector

Saudi education authorities have decreed localising education jobs in the private sector educational institutions as part of efforts to create more jobs for Saudi citizens.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al Rajhi has issued a decree Saudising the education jobs in the private and international schools. The Saudisation of the jobs there will be implemented in phases with a specific percentage over three years, local media reported.

The decree aims at increasing the localisation rates in private schools in all disciplines including maths, physics, biology, and computer. Saudisation rates will, meanwhile, be boosted in jobs related to teaching the Arabic language, the national identity, Islamic and social studies as well as art and physical education as a first phase in international schools.

The decree aims to provide 28,000 education jobs for Saudi citizens in private and international schools over the next three years.
