Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, through its criminal security sector, has foiled an attempt to smuggle approximately 1.5 kilograms of pure heroin into the country.

According to a statement by the Ministry’s Public Relations and Security Media Department, reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday, the suspect was apprehended in coordination with the General Administration of Customs while attempting to smuggle the drugs into Kuwait via air cargo from an Asian country. The suspect was part of an international drug trafficking network.
