Bahrain: 132 Booked for Violating COVID-19 Precautionary Measures

The Ministry of Health announced that so far 132 people have been referred to Public Prosecution for failure to comply with the requirements and measures put in place to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

Of this, 126 people have been referred for violating compulsory home quarantine,  4 are managers of commercial stores who were referred for violating health conditions and procedures that must be followed in the shops.

2 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for violating the order to close industrial and commercial stores.

It is worth noting that the penalty for violating the home quarantine may be up to three months jail sentence or a fine of no less than 1,000 BD and no more than 10,000 BD.
