Bahrain: 156 New Coronavirus Cases Are of Expat Workers

The Ministry of Health today announced the recovery of 54 cases and registered 161 new cases, of which 156 are migrant workers.

Three cases are of contact with existing cases and two cases are from abroad.

The 156 cases of migrant workers were monitored after 3581 laboratory tests were carried out during the last twenty-four hours as part of the pre-emptive campaigns to examine migrant workers in their homes in a number of areas.

Pre-emptive testing of expatriate workers and putting those in contact with previous cases under precautionary quarantine facilitate their treatment and enhances the efficiency of the measures taken to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents.
