Bahrain: 158 Expat Workers Among 220 New Cases

The Ministry of Health confirmed that it detected 220 new coronavirus cases today, bringing the total of active cases to 3,771.

Among this, 158 are expat workers, 50 are contacts of active cases, and 12 are travel-related.

Health officials in Bahrain also confirmed 284 recoveries from the COVID-19 coronavirus today, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 2,637 since the outbreak first began. The recovered cases have been discharged from dedicated treatment centres.

To ensure the safety of all, the Ministry of Health continues to increase its testing capacity, carrying out 9,685 tests within the past 24 hours.

Currently, a total of 220,812 people have been tested and the total number of confirmed active cases is 3771, amongst which 4 patients are in critical condition.

To date, 2,637 patients have been discharged and 10 deaths have been confirmed.
