Bahrain: 1,909 Expats Infected With Coronavirus
As of April 26th, 1,909 expats have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bahrain, Ausamah Al Absi, CEO of The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) said in a press conference today.
Of this, 95.5% work for an employer – within legal contracts, while the remaining is distributed among flexi-visa holders, visit visa holders and domestic workers.
The break-up is as follows:
1823 are labourers, 32 hold flexi-visas, 30 are on visit visa, while the remaining are either on family visas or are domestic workers.
Of this, some have recovered, while others are in treatment.
