Bahrain’s consumption of the “Jayyed” fuel increased by 22%, compared to a decrease of 21% in the consumption of “Mumtaz” fuel, according to statistics by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).
Statistics compared between the years 2017 and 2018, also indicated that Bahrain markets consumed a total of 5.160 million barrels of “Jayyed” fuel in 2018, compared to 2 million barrels of “Mumtaz” fuel and 31,000 barrels of the “Super 98” fuel.
Statistics showed that the consumption of the “Super” fuel increased by 72%.
It also stated that Bahrain has exported oil worth $6.898 billion through the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) in 2018, while it imported oil worth $ 5.72 billion fro, ARAMCO in the same year.
It is noteworthy that these numbers are after the recent increase in the price of fuel prices since the beginning of 2018. Officials have confirmed that there will be no more increase in two years (2019 and 2020). They said that the amendments made to the state budget draft law for the fiscal years 2019 and 2020 assured the stability of fuel prices.
