Bahrain: 36-year old expat dies of coronavirus

The Ministry of Health confirmed that a 36-year old male expat dies of coronavirus who had underlying health conditions. 

The patient, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team

The Ministry highlighted that, excluding one case, all other active COVID-19 cases remain stable and all patients continue to receive treatment from the Kingdom’s highly trained medical professionals following guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Bahrain detected a total of 71 new coronavirus cases and 1 death today, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,008.

Out of the 71 new cases, 48 cases were of expat workers, 16 cases of contacts, and 7 cases from abroad. A 36-year old expat male dies of coronavirus who had underlying health conditions.

Currently, a total of 100,031 people have been tested and the total number of confirmed active cases is 994, amongst which 1 patient is in critical condition. To date, 1082 patients have been discharged and 8 deaths have been confirmed.
