Bahrain: 5 Fishermen Held; 2 Boats Seized For Violating Ban

Coast Guard Commander announced on Sunday the arrest of five Bahraini fishermen and confiscation of two boats for violating shrimp catching ban. The coast guard vessels also seized illegal fishing tools on both boats, including the illegal trawling net.

The fishermen were arrested per the rules while attempting to flee the site. Legal proceedings are being taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
