Bahrain: 8 Million BHD Raya Highway Project

Detailed designs and manuscripts for Raya Highway revamping project which serves the villages of Al-Dair, Samaheej and Galali have been completed with an estimated cost of 8 million and 716 thousand dinars, the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning announced.

The project includes turning it into a two-lane highway in each direction, for a length of six kilometres, from the entrance of Galali Park near the intersection of Al Hidd highway to the avenue linking it with North West Busaiteen area.

The project will also redesign the existing intersections by installing nine traffic lights, provide pedestrian sidewalks, establish a network to sewage rainwater, lighting and marking traffic signs in addition to pedestrian barriers to achieve traffic safety.
