Bahrain: 80% Decrease In Fish Prices Predicted By Official

This comes in connection to enforcing the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19

Fish prices are expected to decline by 80% in the coming months according to the Head of Galali Fishermen Association, Mohammed Al-Dakhil.

The official predicted prices of some types of fish to reach BD 1 and the decline in prices will be due to the availability of large quantities of fish in the market.

Mr. Dakhil added that the prices of fish in the summer this year decreased compared to last year.

Rabbitfish, locally known as ‘Safi’, is one of the most sought after fish at fish markets and the per kg price dropped from BD 7 to BD 3.5 this year.
