Bahrain: 80 jailed for coronavirus violations

Jail terms ranging between three to six months and fines between BD1,000 and BD2,000 were handed down to eighty people for violating Coronavirus precautionary measures.

Charges include failing to wear protective masks in public places and being in a gathering of more than five people.

Authorities also detected violations in hairdressing and beauty salons, restaurants, cafe and establishment having swimming pools.
