Bahrain: Aali Listed as Model for Healthy Cities

A’ali village was recently listed as a model for healthy cities by the World Health Organization (WHO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. The governor, accompanied by a number of representatives of relevant authorities, toured the village that included a number of pottery sites and other historical sites.

The governor was also briefed on the needs of pottery makers and ways to develop the industry to ensure the preservation of this historical handcraft, which is considered one of the most important archaeological monuments in A’ali.

The governor directed to study ways of development in cooperation with the relevant authorities in preparation for finding appropriate solutions, as well as ensuring the commitment of commercial and service activities to regulatory requirements, health licenses and the presence of appropriate protection and safety tools in commercial and service establishments.
