Bahrain: Afternoon outdoor work ban begins today

Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan has called for full compliance with the afternoon ban on outdoor work.

The two-month ban starts today and all companies and employers have been told to re-adjust their timings to ensure their employees do not work under the searing sun and high humidity between noon and 4 pm.

Violators will be jailed for up to three months and or made to pay fines ranging between BD500 and BD 1,000.
