Classes will be held virtually at the Red Alert Level, while during Yellow, Orange and Green Levels, parents have the choice to send their children to school or attend virtual classes, Education Ministry Human resources assistant under-secretary, Dr. Mohammed Jumaa announced.
Schools will strictly adhere to the COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System based on positivity rates, he said.
Attendance during the Green level will be permitted to 100% of the school’s capacity and adhering to social distancing protocols, he added.
Health Ministry public health assistant under-secretary, Dr. Mariam Al Hajeri, called upon individuals to take the booster dose to prevent infection and severity of the impact of the virus.
