Bahrain: Area Sterilization Without Civil Defence Approval is Illegal

“Any area sterilization activity not carried out in coordination with the civil defence is illegal,” noted Head of the Muharraq Civil Defense Center, Captain Ali Al-Maran.

He added that any sterilization activity done without coordination with the civil defence or by non-volunteers who have been trained on sterilization would be considered illegal activities, due to the lack of knowledge of the nature of the materials and how they work.

Al-Maran reply came during a meeting with the members of Muharraq Municipal Council.

He revealed that the total number of sterilization operations carried out by the Civil Defense for areas where there are positive or suspected cases of infection with Coronavirus (COVID-19), which were implemented until April 11, amounted to 11,893 operations.
