Bahrain: AUBH Launches New Post-Graduate Program

The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) has announced the launch of its next post-graduate program, the Master of Science in Engineering Management. The two-year program, designed with working adults in mind, will welcome its founding class on September 23, 2023, officially commencing during AUBH’s 2023 spring semester.

Designed for those who wish to advance in their careers, or for recent graduates to hone their engineering and management skills, the program will reinforce engineering and management fundamentals through a strong focus on sustainability and data analytics. The program is broad enough to apply to multiple engineering sectors while providing specific skills for management and real-world challenges. Offered at an introductory tuition rate for the founding class, the program provides new opportunities for students to personalize their educational experiences. It complements AUBH’s growing portfolio of professional graduate programs at AUBH.

The program spans four semesters, augmented by additional summer coursework. Sustainability and data analytics themes are propagated throughout the course structure. The concentrations cover topics such as Financial and Managerial Accounting, Project Management, Managing People and Organizations, and Strategic Technology Management. The first 24 credit hours will focus on the general management curriculum. After this, students will have the option to choose from a list of courses to complete the remaining 9 credits of the degree.

Students can then focus their skills by choosing elective courses in line with specialist areas of interest, for example, Product Design & Innovation, Ethics, Sustainability and Corporate Governance, etc. To complement this, students have the opportunity to complete a thesis that supports their particular learning path, supported by experienced mentors.

The AUBH MSc. in Engineering Management program will be offered outside of regular working hours to accommodate the schedules of busy, mid-career professionals. The program design is aimed at making this transitional chapter for all those interested as seamless as possible. The experience combines flexibility, an executive and leadership-focused curriculum taught by world-class faculty, and the opportunity to build community among students and alumni.
