The Transport General Authority announced that it has launched an auto-detection system that spots violations by truck and bus operators.

The goal is to improve traffic safety by ensuring that trucks and buses comply with the technical regulations and requirements set by the authority.

By enforcing these regulations, the authority aims to improve the quality and efficiency of services.

According a statement by the TGA, using this auto-detection system will contribute, other than ensuring compliance with regulations, to reducing carbon emissions, in line with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to foster growth and sustainability in the public transport and logistics sectors in the Kingdom.

The authority emphasised that the auto-detection system is part of its efforts to regulate and streamline transport activities, as well as to speed up the digital transformation, in line with its strategic objectives.

The system utilises the latest technologies and is considered a significant regulatory project, the release said. It aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 goal of improving the quality of life in all cities of the Kingdom.
