Bahrain Bans Crab Fishing For Two Months

Bahrain has imposed a two month ban on fishing, trading and selling of crabs. Effective from march 15 the ban would continue till May 15, 2022.

The Ban aims to stop fishing during the breeding period to preserve marine wealth and biodiversity in the territorial waters of Bahrain. Marine control teams will start monitoring to prevent violation or abuses of the decision and ensure that Bahrain’s marine wealth is protected.
