Bahrain to host its first ever double-header World Endurance Championship race

The FIA World Endurance Championship comes back to Bahrain for two exciting races back-to-back to end the season and crown the 2021 champions.

This weekend, the 30th of October, head to the Bahrain International Circuit for 6 hours of intense racing, non-stop with the drivers contending for the win. The race leads on to the next week once again where you can sit on the edge of your seat for the 8 hour race on the 6th of November.

This popular racing series is adored by fans worldwide for its ability to offer real-life simulations of road car innovations in all aspects of the vehicle; safety, design, technology and performance.

WEC competitors at Bahrain International Circuit

The most popular of the series is the 24 Hours of Le Mans where you can watch pure racing, strategy and physical ability and persistence being put to the test by some of the world’s leading drivers. The Bahrain grid will feature 5 hypercars, 11 LMP2 cars, 4 LMGTE PRO cars (professional), and 12 LMGTE AM cars (amateur).

BIC is hosting some entertainment alongside the weekend races such as international music and dance stage acts, roaming entertainers, fire and LED shows, kids’ zones, and so much more. If you are a fan of racing or not, this is where you have to visit to kick off the winter season with enchantment and thrill.

If you’re watching the race, watch out for DragonSpeed USA #21 within the LMP2 Pro/AM category, who have the top seat and have two other cars within 9 points of each other. It’s a tight position to be in and it will definitely be a passionate drive for them. The 4.2 litre V8 powered car is chased by two JOTA cars and the WRT in a one-point difference. Keep your eyes on the scoreboard for this close competition!
