The High Appeals Court has upheld the life sentence issued against a defendant who was among three men accused of detonating a bomb. The blast which was caused by the device led to the death of a fourth man who was with them at the time of their attempt to trigger the bomb.
The first defendant told Prosecutors that they plotted to plant the bomb beside the place where police officers are stationed in Eker village. The incident took place in the same village at the warehouse of a company, where the device was stored. The incident caused damages to the warehouse, as a result of which the trio was fined BD220.
