The 44-year-old Bahrani is suspected of executing 113 burglaries where the stolen items amounted to BD 4,00,000 in a span of four years during which he targeted homes and flats.
Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan said on Wednesday that after investigations and coordination with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate had arrested the suspect.
Legal action has been taken and the stolen items had been seized, including remittances worth BD27,000. The suspect has been referred to the Public Prosecutor.
Major-General Tariq Al Hassan said the identification of the suspect required extraordinary efforts, especially since he had committed the burglaries alone.
