Bahrain: Capacity for Isolation, Treatment and Quarantine are Sufficient

The Ministry of Health reiterated in a press conference on Monday that Bahrain’s capacity for coronavirus isolation, treatment and quarantine are sufficient.

Only 345 out of 1,699 beds are used in public isolation centres; while only 4 beds are used out of 172 in private centres. Meanwhile, only 947 beds are occupied in public quarantine centres out of 2,104. On the other hand, 94 out of 321 beds are occupied in private quarantine centres.

Currently, the Ministry of Health is conducting over 3,000 tests on a daily basis. The ministry also mentioned that they have the capacity to increase the number of tests which shows the Kingdom’s readiness in combatting the virus.
