Bahrain: Central Market Working Hours Changed

Working hours of the Manama Central Market were changed for traders and the public. This was announced by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). The chamber noted that the decision was taken in line with official precautionary measures and decisive steps to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The BCCI stated that the new timing for traders will be from 1 am until 6 am. The market will receive the public daily from 4:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in gates No. 1, 4, 3, 9 and 12 will be designated only for entry and exit. Guard and organization matters, the announcement stated, will be the responsibility between the Ministry of Interior and the Central Market. The number of people present and the social separation will be also taken into account.

The announcement indicated that the gates number 1 and 4 are designated for traders only, with the absolute prohibition of any cars loaded for sale by being present at roadsides, streets and sidewalks, and taking into account the achievement of the social separation.
